about

Our first pot anthem. We'd just seen Mike Stinson's ferocious live band and realized our songs so far were a bit morose and mellow. So we channeled Mike Stinson for this one. The original version starts with Rob and Paul and Anthony Lacques pounding drums and chanting, and features the line "you can have your September 11th." We change the line when we played NYC and the audience looked a bit shocked. Now we sing the original line once in a while, as the jab at George Bush is still relevant and the past is becoming the distant past.
