Inspired by a hike from a sunny Topanga Canyon ridge down into the cool canopy of trees, a creek with the usual modicum of water in the desert we call Los Angeles.

From Topanga to the sea
You took a walk with me

Halfway down the trail
We were sprung from our jail
I see a whale

With the spirits of the bees
The heat above the trees

This old fern is our friend
